Alors que le week-end a commencé lentement avec un jour de pluie le samedi, où j’ai seulement réussi à photographier un renard et quelques canetons, j’ai frappé le jackpot, le dimanche. Lorsque de nouveaux sites ne donnent pas de bons résultats, on se doit de retourner à son spot préféré, ce que j’ai fait...Donc je suis retourné à Mud Lake...J’ai passé environ 1 ½ heure dans le froid au même site où j’avais photographié un héron il ya quelques semaines...Pendant ce temps, la seule compagnie avec laquelle j’ai partagé le site a été celle de 2 canards, 2 oies et un oiseau que je n’ai pas encore réussi à identifier. Comme j’étais sur le point de paqueter mes bébelles, un grand héron bleu a décidé de me donner tout un spectacle en déjeunant sur ce qui apparaît être une barbotte. Inutile de vous dire que j’ai retourné mon appareil photo sur la bête...Une fois terminé, je me suis dirigé ver la voiture. Tout en marchant, j’ai remarqué un bihoreau gris qui lui aussi a réussi à me donner un très beau spectacle comme vous pourrez voir.  Amusez-vous!

Diaporama d'une matinée à Mud Lake

While the weekend started slowly with a rainy day on Saturday where I only managed to bag a fox and a few ducklings, I hit the jackpot on Sunday.  When new sites don’t pan out, go back to your favorite spot which I did…It was a Mud Morning at Mud Lake…I spent about 1 ½ hour in the cold morning waiting at the same site where I shot the night heron a few weeks ago…During that time, the only company I shared my spot with was that of 2 ducks, 2 geese and a bird that I have yet to identify.  As I was about to pack it in, a great blue heron decided to give me a show while lunching on what looks like catfish.  Needless to say that I turned my camera on it and kept on shooting…After I thought I was done, I packed my gear and headed towards the car.  As I was walking to the car, I noticed a black-crowned night heron and it also managed to give me a great show as you will see.  Hope you enjoy!
